Popularly known as "Chinese Jasmine", Jasminum polyanthum is a climbing shrub with red branches and small, pinnate dark green leaves, each with five to seven leaflets.
It forms a lot of crimson-red buds from which white, strongly scented flowers open.
Long shoots should be supported by trellis or wire.
Its few requirements make it an ideal plant for beginning gardeners.
